Women's European Championship football

The Dutch team have reached the semi-finals!

That makes Dutch female football an official top sport, meaning they can do it with a full-time income.

Who follows the tournament (for as far as possible)? And what are your thoughts on women's football, compared to men's?

Somehow the difference between men and women is much bigger than with other sports, like volleyball, hockey or tennis. What exactly makes it so different? I noticed, among other things, that the game is played much more fair! Hardly any foul! But also that the speed of play is a lot lower.

Is it less effort and money invested in women's football, making them lesser trained? Or is it something physical/genetic: lesser ball control or something like that...

But despite the difference, I like watching it, especially because of the fair play.

And because watching women is more fun in general anyway.

(Yes, there are some dragons around, but in general I would not mind finding them in my bed by accident.

)

ah, another instance where the game runs 90 minutes, 22 people chase the ball, which is round - and in the end Germany wins

They're not fast enough to hurt someone I guess. What struck me is that apparently women don't know what offside is. The defense tries really hard to keep their opponent from an offside position

women and 2D orientation? lemme think......... how many women do I know who can find their own cars in a foreign city without backtracking the exact way they came?
