Default Texas Holdem *Spoilness*

I am Ragnar of the barbarians in this (vikings!)

If your involved in this game you know what you can swivel on if your reading this and aren't dead!

As per Matrix's request, my absolutly amazing start.

My capital is a reasonable city, i managed to build the oracle and then bulb feud (and take that route to CS, due to my gnp lead for awhile i think i was the first to get there) i also built the hanging gardens for a pop boost and as i'd researched monarchy early as well i could take the possible unhappyness also built the maoi statues there as well as i have a lot of water tiles in it.

Then the joy starts, my second city only one area which is land and isnt ice!

3rd city, its ok but hard to do anything with

and finally the pick of the bunch

I've been able to see robboo's culture for the majority of the game but only recently with the discovery of caravels have i been able to contact him and upon discovery my borders have popped open!

So i'll be attacking him sharpish, when my last caravel went over his capital had a skirm and an axe there. I also feel it would be a pitty if my raiders didnt manage to get a run out. I'll probably attack and raze for awhile then come back and settle. It's really the only play left open to me, though i do have other islands nearby which i could settle.

my demo are ok for a civ which is pretty much totally reliant on one city for just about everything. I need to find some cities where i can get some cottages up and running though.

Recently i've also found ian

and nitro

nitro says he has met most people so hopefully i should be coming into contact with more people shortly.

I'm doing ok techwise (for my position)

luckily its no tech trading or i'd be well and truly fucked by now.

and the expected civics

i havent bothered with attempting to grab a religion, hered rule is doing everything for me.

Nah, I''m the sucketh. Theres two tiers of players in this game, people who are doing well and those that are not. Leading amongst those doing well are skots and ian as they started on large land masses with very nice resources. I've managed to make the most out of a bad situation but its still a bad situation.

I managed to kill rob so hopefully i'll have a lot of room to expand into there and there are quite a lot of islands around me i could perhaps fill up and i have been saving a great person for a GA but really its not looking too smart!

Tbh its mainly because i don't have a connection with this game, its harder to get involved when you've played the first 100 turns by yourself.

its never to late to start, if you can forge an alliance with the other underlings, you could find yourself in an interesting position.

Its a good idea BC. I had hoped to hit you and force you to consider working with me. I knew unless you had a bit of fear you would hit me especially since you denied open borders.
