Italian Football Thread!
So what do you guys think of the punnishments?
Juve : Serie B, start with -30 points, loses last 2 scudetto's (titles) Lazio : Serie B, start with -12 Fiorentina : Serie B, Start with -7 AC Milan: Last season - 44 point. Next season - 15 points. But stays in Serie A. All teams are excluded from Europe for next season I think Juve's screwed harder then it seems. -30 is realy too much to even compete for the serie B title, and they may even have to fear relegation. Lazio's -12 will certainly hurt them too though relegation is perhaps unlikely, same (but less) for the fiori. These 3 will have a very hard time to get back to the top. If ever. Milan. I wonder if Berlusconi had anything to do with it. This has everything from a punishment that looks far harder tehn it actually is. - 15 points is a lot but 3 of the top 5 last year are in the Serie B now! I won't say they will be champs but I can't see them not finishing at least top 5 again. So all that it is realy is one year without European Football. Surely that hurts but Berlusconi will make up for the financial consequences...

Well, just like the cycling scandal, they just have to try a little bit harder to find something that Inter did wrong. That way they can relegate the whole Serie A to serie B, and so on.

I would expect Juventus to come back after a few seasons and be challenging for titles again. They may all appeal and that might see the negative points reduced. Inter seem to be a clean side.

The appeals have changed the sentences quite a bit:
- Fiorentina: Remain in Serie A, but start with -19 points - Lazio: Remain in Serie A, but start with -7 points - Juventus: Demoted to Serie B with -17 points - Milan: Remain in Serie A, but start with -8 points and -30 substracted of their points tally last season but getting Champions League preliminary (though UEFA will still have a say in that) Seems to me that Milan got of cheap (Berlusconi?) and Juventus becomes the scapegoat, but then again, most evidence was specifically against Juve...

Juve seems to be getting hit after hit...
Zambrotta and Thuram went to Barcelona Cannavaro and Emerson went to Real Madrid And now Ibrahimovic goes to Internazionale... 5 starters gone, lose last years championship and demoted to serie B (where they start with -17 points). This is not a good time to be a Juventus supporter!
