What's really important about temperature is the one inside the house, not outside. In February, I think it's pretty comfy in every NL house. You can come here without worrying too much, Sébastien !!

barbu, do you want to visit us? Then I say: the weather in February is pretty nice, 30 degrees Celsius, the sun is always shing, no rain...

No seriously, February can be really cold with snow and such but there might also be 20 degrees at the end of February.
Belgium, Netherlands and Luxambourg is definetly on my travel list, but next year, after february, may not be the best time for me.

Also, I want adequate weather.

Then don't come too Holland. The weather is never adequate here. Either it rains or it is hot with a high humidity...

I think that compared to Canada our weather is at least fair, perhaps even adequate

That all depends on what kind of weather you prefer, doesn't it? Maybe barbu likes to have a couple of feet of snow for five months of the year?

Let's just say that I don't mind the weather if that weather makes the poeple living there in a good mood.

Here, when there is snow, people are somewhat happy. In the winter, we prefer snow to rain.. Unfortunatly, with global warming, we get more and more rain in the winter in Montreal. Quebec, only 250km away still gets it all in snow.

Anyhow, I think early May is the best time to travel in europe. It's nice and it's not crowded with other tourists. The weather you described in February is not to my liking.

Better not visit the Netherlands then. We are the whining nation of Europe.
