I think Germany is too liberal for the U.S. to screw around with. It might blow us, I mean our fragile little minds and we might not like it.
We prefer to go after "conservative" "Virgin" countries. The only time we really went for sloppy seconds, it backfired badly (Vietnam). I safely predict that the US will continue to screw with conservative countries. (Cuba, Venezuala, Iran, Iraq, etc.) If your laws are more liberal than ours, it freaks us out.
