With PTW I went for the secret link mentioned above (and looking at all those patches I'm glad I did), so Conquests will definitely be a legitimate purchase! Very happy that it contains PTW already (hence the purchase ), although I do hope there will be lot of new thingies to discover apart from what we've seen in the previews.

I doubt I'll buy it. I no longer play single player games very often, and do not really have the time to start any new PBEMs that might incorporate the new civs if that is even possible. Given the puniness of my dial-up connection and the instability of my PC, MP isn't really an option either so I have little to gain by purchasing the thing.
