If everybody agrees that the spaceship victory is inevitable you could reload (not this turn but the one be4) and I do not launch it but make the resolution for a diplo victory. That way the game is over in a couple of turns.
Alternatively we could exclude space-race victory and I would have to find another way of victory, like conquest. Not sure if I could reach it. Would definitely take longer. |

To overcome it, the host needs to load save in multiplayer with somebody logged in (apart from host) as Plattfuss, launch, save again, and then load back in PB. This converts all absent humans into AI temporarily which is the only undesirable effect known.

Did some further reading and dwwin.exe basically is the crash report thingie. So what is happening is as soon Plattfuss launches the game crashes while Plattfuss stay connected.
Imo we can either fabricate another type of victory for Plattfuss or grant him the victory anyway out-of-game. All please give your feedback.

From memory Darkness had a similar issue with his spaceship launch in CDZ Earth 2 where we managed to work out a solution to get past that.
Failing that would the rest of us being set to AI help with the issue? Don't think the rest of us put together could do anything to remotly challenge Plattfuss. We could end it here and shake hands, i don't think there is any doubt about who won. For me whatever the rest are happy with then so am i.

Thanks for the hint Robi. What I can reconstruct from the Rule the World 2 thread is that Plattfuss must save the game after launch of the spaceship and send the save to me.
I'll restart the game when I get home around 18:30.

No worries You beat me to finding the thread. Seems fairly straight forward, Platt launches, game has a fit, he saves it from his end, sends you the save, you reboot from his save, we continue on our merry way for another 10 turns.
On a slightly different topic i have to wonder how firaxis never got around to fixing such a obvious bug

A Beampire KH-11 satelite monitored a spaceship launch and send the svaed data back to Earth. Game is running again.
