I loved tha Ali G show, not getting old for me. I agree it's not everybody though.
I read some critics on the movie and they're pretty positive, it seems to be much better than the AliG movie (but that's nottoo difficult as that one was crap)

The Ali G movie isn't crap, you just have to be under the influence of something to completely appreciate it.

It also has some nice replay value. For instance, when they dance their way into the mansion at the end of the movie. I admit that that's really not funny, but when you're anticipating it it somehow gets amusing.

The best thing about Ali G is the variety. Watching Borat for 90 minutes seems to be 'not the way'. Otoh, I'll probably watch it anyway. Getting your act to famous important conservatives (like Newt Ginrich) is just awesome.

I didn't know this thing at all, but went to the movie tonight, and I liked it. My friend and I laughed big time, and we agreed it went really far, without getting old (rare moments when it's calm are always followed by something hilarious). Yes, he goes really far, to the point that some people in the cinema left in the middle !
 They probably couldn't stand watching a very fat and naked guy.  The bottom line is that this movie is a real charge against the You-es-sunday (USA  ), not against Khazakstan, let alone Romania (BTW, what do our Romanian regulars think of it ?). And this Cohen is the first anti-semite Jew !
