Meli's Mumblings
So other people seem to be posting Blog style stuff about themselves, I suppose today's a good day to share for me.
My dad had a heart attack yesterday. Was digging in the garden and had chest pains on the right hand side of his chest and assumed he'd pulled a muscle. A little later they called an ambulance, and now he's waiting for a transfer to a London hospital with a specialised Cardiac Unit. He's awake (sometimes) and they've given him morphine. The only things I've managed to find out so far is Quote:

I feel for you Meli. Having parents get ill is a very difficult be inevitable part of life. Be with him as much as he can stand you is my suggestion.

Just take it easy. With today's medicine, everything might very well still be OK in a good hospital with a good doctor. There is always hope.

Well I've just managed to get hold of his long term partner and she says that he seemed fine last night when they first got him into hospital.
They are still waiting on an empty bed to get him to London and do something with Dye in his veins. Aparently he's had a scan (like pregnant ladies) and nothing appears abnormal. The funny thing is that nobody seemed to realise that he may have had a heart attack. My dad thought he had indigestion, his partner thought he'd pulled a muscle, the ambulance drivers only took him to hospital as a precaution and the doctors were muttering 'muscle strain' Then the bloodwork came back saying Massive Heart Attack... Aint life odd. Oh and thanks very much all for your support, very much appreciated.

You have my support too.
Weird that he got a pain on the right, where as the heart is on the left. Makes me becoming even more paranoiac about heart attacks. Damn muscle.
