Default My new computer to be

I finally ordered my xmas present to myself will take 7-10 days to be built and delivered so should arrive just before my birthday on teh 12th march

£871 inc. vat + delivery, the components cost about that so I'm happy to have them build it for me and save me the hassle.

must be time to buy cIV I guess!

I thought you'd go for the fanless power supply. 500W peak? What's the brand?

120mm fans are pretty dam quiet, and I dont trust fanless power supplies. It's not super super quiet but it should be pretty good overall, the mb has some silent pipe jobbie instead of a northbridge (or w/e) fan but in the end i got a gfx card with a fan cos I know ppl who have had problems with the fanless ones overheating. CPU has a stock retail fan but I have read favourable reviews that the newer san diego chips have a better quality fan on the retail versions which runs quieter than normal... gonna see how it goes before splurging £50 on a quieter fancy ass cpu cooler. hard disk reviews also state they run virtually silent so I am hopeful

I think that would work out to be around AUS$2500, which is good for those specs. A similar spec system here would start at that price and go up.
Do you get a monitor with it as well?
