Ok, so we've played a few turns and I thought I show you what a wonderful world Robi provided.

I think the plan is to settle the second city where the second settler is located, then bee-line for BW and build a million Phalanx and either flame out or kick ass. Otherwise, this location is not very conductive to long-term playing.

I do like the collection of spoilers at the top

It looks like a good spot for the second city with sheep silver and stone in the bfc. Also being creative means a quick border pop

move a tile north, gain water? third city down at the sea where suggested, then.

Can't see photobucket files from work, but I'll take a look later when home

I settled on the spot and will settle a 3rd more to the east. Azza's borders are actually up near that river, so this is going to get hot pretty fast. Will add a picture later.

edit: Pic added, showing border with Azza. Lots of nice land directly between us which will naturally bring conflict, hence the early rax (plus, can't build anything worthwhile there atm).

Well that why its a small map, to bring some action early into the game. Are you thinking of settling to claim the wheat, wine and sheep directly east of Sparta or mre north of that?

I will try, but against Rome, I doubt I have a chance. Plus, I will not be as strong as Azza due to the layout of my empire (lopsided, with capitol in the far west while his 2nd and 3rd cities will be closer to the capitol). Azza's captiol is 2E of my sign, with his 2nd city E, NE of the pigs.

Further, Furiey is NW of the pigs so this area will be hotly contested.

Had an interesting choice very early in the game, but since Azza had a warrior with a woodsman promotion nearby, I wimped out.

You've mapped out the area pretty well, any new spots that you are considering for cities?

Also are you looking to make agreements with any of your neighbours?
