Feature request: Active topics
I know this from some other forums, so maybe it is easy to get:
I use "New Posts" as entry to the forums. But sometimes I see a post, but a day later I decide to answer but meanwhile the post has gone from the list of "New Posts". So, it would be nice if there was an additional link "Active Topics" which show the 15 or 20 topics with most recent activity (not the same but kind of like the "Get posts of last 24 hours" if there were no new posts) Please do not put much work in it, as the Quick Links-> Today's posts does the trick most of the time.

edited the last 10 active threads in the navbar when on the forum home page.
Not quite happy with the location and lay-out but it does work. I'll try and reposition it to display in the new post page together with the new posts. That way we'll have both features in one page. Also ATM it displays the thread starter and not the last poster, will look in to that as well but both changes require some programming and that's not really my forté.

Did some quick research and adding it to the New Posts button won't be very easy. Adding a new buttin most likely will be the easiest solution, will look into that. I will also extend the search a bit then cause atm it takes the last 10 active threads, will extend that to 20 or so.
Alternatively I saw an option that added a drop down menu that let you chose, between threads being 1,2,3,4 and 5 days old. If you guys like that I can put that in instead of the active threads , or in combination with the active threads.

Front page? Who needs that anyway? ;-)
Never seen that, sorry. Yeah, PP, maybe increase the count there to 15, and I have what I was looking for...but thanks for the effort!

Sometimes we have some cool things on the front page you know
Like now I really recommend the Google tech talk video with Soren Johnson. It's a long video but well worth the watch.

Latest active threads doesn't seem to work as recent threads on the front page does.

You're right it's a different piece of code.
Personally I like the front page code better. Still looking for a way to get it under a button in the navbar. Would like to know what other people prefer, front page style or forum page style

Looking at both options in detail I noticed that the forum page active threads uses the thread start date as a criterium for active instead of last post date.
The front page active threads mod does use last post. Imo last post is the best option, so Ill try to find that code and implement it in a separate button on the navbar.

You know I'm blind, please make the button blinking and shiny pink.
