Aggie - Killer part 2, 1 vs 1 *spoiler*
These are the parameters with which Killer and I started. He is Spain and I am France.
- The berserk is the UU and the original UU (conquistador or musketier) can't be selected - Archers, swords, medieval infantry have amphibious ability - Archer has 3 attack - pikeman has 4 defense - musket has 5 defense This was my start: 15.67KB |

Turn 40:
My choice for France was well-founded (I think). I wanted a commercial civ, because on an archipelago map corruption plays an important role. Also, it has alphabet as starting tech, allowing me to beeline to map-making. I also like the idea of an industrious civ, for obvious reasons. I had a bit of bad luck when disease struck, but I managed to keep up anyway: 66.97KB Turn 60: Things were looking good. After map-making I started researching literature. At turn 60 I'm only 2 turns away from that. The idea was to rush build library in order to pick up the tech pace and (hopefully) outrace Killer. 98.78KB ' The demographics at turn 60: 51.48KB |

Turn 80:
I finished my first library in Orleans. I still hadn't built galleys and about this point I was thinking that it was long overdue. Regarding research I now focussed on getting currency. The map: 76.72*KB My place in the world: 3.62*KB Turn 100: Despite the fact that I crossed the earth to search for Killer, his ship found me first. But: he didn't establish an embassy So to deny him the chance to find me quickly, I declared war. He got reversed war-weariness, but I think it was worth it. This is Killer's place: 4.39*KB Killer was rather backward: 9.42*KB He didn't have Literature yet, meaning that he didn't have libraries, while I had 7 of them. |

Turn 134:
The present. First of all a couple of recent pictures. My world: 90*KB The world map as I know it. I haven't saeen any of Killer's galleys close by: 17.66*KB I am up on techs. I have Engineering and almost know Invention (berserks!) The demographics: 54.36*KB As you can see, Killer has the Pyramids. But I have The Great Lighthouse and therefore able to travel over seas with higher speed . I also have the Colossus. I have been sending about 6 galleys towards Killers lands... |

Not yet...the zerks are there within 2 turns. But I'm afraid that I can't resist to attack him with archers, swords and medieval infantry (all amphibious as you know ). I may not completely cripple him, but he will:
- get war weariness - get a blow when losing a couple of cities As long as he doesn't know where I am, I figure that I'm in the upperhand . Plus my galleys are all on sea squares. He could attack them, but that is very risky. |
