I bought Gratuitous Space Battles. It's the space battles from Galactic Civilizations plus the ship modding. It's fun, and worth every penny (i.e. the full 5 bucks). If you don't want to take my word for it, there's also a demo.

Indeed. The ships have names like those in the Culture novels.

There's a demo. But I wouldn't recommend paying 20 bucks for it.

Wasn't planning to. Still have SC2 campaign, Monkey Island SE and first 2 seasons of Sam and Max to finish.

Oh, and still trying to master emperor level on Civ IV, without much succes.

Edit: and Portal and Pirates and Morrowind and Oblivion

....Should...stop...buying....games

Don't have time to play em all anyway.

I've spent far too much time on Portal, you can play through the game quickly enough but the bonus maps and trying to get the medals on the advanced levels takes more time. I was too slow for this offer though, I'll have to wait until they reduce it again...
