Thanks for the invite, but I think I'm going to take a season off from the CDZ Cup this time around. I'll probably be back next season though.

Sad to hear of all these people not playing this year.

May all your youth pulls be 17 and your trainees never injured

I propose we poll on the subject of random groups.

And will the outcome be a deciding factor for participation of the Aristocats then, I wonder?

I think it will be.

I also cant see why anyone would be against it.

No offence to the teams I've been playing but I would like to play some different ones

Well, I'd hate to see KR not competing in the cup, but on the other hand, personally I do feel that any cup should have some system to prevent one part of the playing schedule consisting of very strong teams and another of weak teams. After all, shouln't a winner of a cup be supposed to be able to beat and be stronger than all other opposition?
With totally random groups there is a distinct possibility that there will be a weaker team reaching the (semi)final that based on team strength should not be there.

I'll vote to do random then in the end I suppose, as we haven't tried it yet.... but couldn't we just install a CDZ league system if we want to play different teams each time? That way you will end up playing someone else all the time, and a winner could be decided at fixed points in time (not necessarily the end of the HT-season), when all teams have been played once for example. If diversity and clearness of the playing schedule is our aim, that seems to be the best option I think.

The good side about random ordering is that the teams may clump together more often so that it results in closer games rather than potentially having a hierachy of teams at the start where the gaps are noticeable enough between the teams that the final positions can be predicted slightly easier. So I think I would vote random since it could allow me to play socralynnek on an even footing for once rather than as the last couple of games where I generally have bad TS and/or are training passing.

I don't particularily think its fair to take the attitude that if the majority don't agree with me then I won't play...
