This is my first go at Emporer... ever. We are now at turn 24. I have found out the hard way that on this level you need to keep a warrior in the cap otherwise the people dont like it

I've met the Indians. Traded Masonry for BW and 7 gold. They have alphabet and a second city. There is some nice land about to expand into.

Sir Eric, I want to wish you good luck on this level. You have to check the cities quite often to prevent riots. The lux slider can also help, but defense is needed to keep the other civs away

India sounds like a very good civ to have as a neighbour. Not very aggresive

May I reccomend reading Crackers' opening play article and Bamspeedy's article on Babylon's deity settlers (war Academy of CFC)?

Sir Eric, i have been told by people on this site to use the lux slider instead of entertainers early in the game to make people happy. The most important thing is food and shields early.
