@killer: well, I have to look into the consequences of having double post and removing import id's as I suspect we then run the risk of having posts with the same id (import id's are added during the import process to maintain database consistency). Usually posts sharing the same id will result in weird forum behaviour and we wouldnt want that. Otoh maybe we can just maintain the import id's and leave the whole thing be if that can be done without any harm.
Oh, there should be no problem! AFAIK, vB adjusts all values IN the thread according to the deletion (i.e. renumbers the posts), but keeps a separate entity for the deleted post that shows in the thread (you can put in text that explains the deletion, too), and THIS keeps the import number!

Hmmm, that doesn't look too great. Any options under "manage"? Perhaps the admin has different post deletion powers.

As of right now, there is only 1 option available, and that is "soft deletion", leaving the trace Henry posted.

Yes. The forum claimed my pm box was full, so I deleted all the sent messages to free up space.

well, if it leaves us with these stubs but gives no trouble otherwise, then I can live with it!

@Propain, were did you get the figure of 614 users, The Statistics at the bottom of the main forum page says we have 453
The new site indicates we have 456 (maybe some new admins accounts?)

If you are able to export the list to a text file I can whip up a perl script to find the differences
