no it is because it means that the people who made the saves have to keep a dual install for when they're asked to do so.

Oh yeah, but that one is tucked away safely in my basement. Vista has this strange thing with registering programs. I don't know, actually. But I don't see a reason why I should make a DL to begin with: there's an official patch, so why shouldn't matrix update his server with it?

And the dual install basically involves copy/paste. I assume you can do this in Vista without registering? Maybe one of the ppl using Vista can help?
