My midfield was also a lot lower than expected (didn't look with HO for a last season prediction), but the question for me is mostly: Is the penalty for a third PM high or very high (i.e. should I consider playing with 2 IMs on a regular basis) I might try out 4-4-2 in the league match as I don't expect to train properly anyway as long as I am in the cup.

Midfield is OK, there is something wrong with attack ratings in my match against a bot. At least one level lower than it should be.

Could it be that passing has increased in importance dramatically? It would explain both attack and midfield ratings in my case.

I played 2-5-3. PIC. As I do normaly.

I got the same thing that Akots noticed. My midfield ratings seem normal. However ower attack ratings are very low.

I was looking for defensive forwards, but the attack ratings of teams with multiple defensive forwards are insane. What's insane as well are the prices of these players. The only upside is that their wages are also pretty, pretty low. Another downside is that these players don't really fit into my business plan. I want old players, and the sidestats of these players seem to be going down faster than their main stats. So a player that is depending on a stat like passing will deteriorate faster than a comparable forward with simply a high scoring level.

Okay, according to HO! this lineup should've resulted in passable (low) midfield (though HO doesn't properly calculate midfield with stamina, so it should be at least very low or inad high), solid (very high) central attack and passable (very high)/excellent (low) wing attacks. So every line was a full level lower than calculated.

In my league match playing with two mids, a WTM and a OCD the midfield rating was quite ok. Forward rating was again schocking, despite 7.5 stars, 8 stars and 8.5 stars forwards AND a 7 star offensive winger.

I was surprised that my hatstat rating was only 1 point lower than last Sunday, with a slightly weaker team and playing away instead of home. Difference: for some strange reason my attack ratings were far higher than last Sunday, with the same players. Did you all experience something similar?

I didn't field the same players, so I can't really compare.

I played differently as well. My winger rating was higher than expected, so I think, the increase for defFors on the wing is quite noticable.
