ok...

Not quite sure what those smileys were supposed to show

But to help clear things up I really really like this series of books.

Robert Jordan is certainly going the long way round (and the lucrative route) and if he dies before ending this set then I'm gonna find a way to ressurect him just so I can kill him again.

Last couple of books have been a minor dissappointment and the next one is due this November () but I love them all the same.

Is there a WoT mod for Civ3 yet?

Hmm, if you think that the period between each Wheel of Time volume is long, I suppose you haven't heard of The Song of Ice and Fire series yet, by George R.R. Martin... that's where your patience is really tested to the limit. (But I can recommend the books, they are worth the wait, imho ).

Yup.

People are wondering whether he's going for 12 or 15.

I think 12 would be cutting it a little fine, best to go for 15.

Yeah I can't see how the story could be wrapped up in two books. There are still are lot of story lines left to be brought together for a final battle and whilst there have been lots of wars between humans we are yet to see any kind of major offensive from the dark side.

So do I Meli!
BTW: I think it'll be 13 books actually. Think about it: 13 Forsaken, 13 Aes Sedai in a circle to still a man, 13 countries in the present day world. Seems logical it'll be 13 books.

@Dell: Well, at least Rand made a truce with the Seanchan at the end of "The crossroads of twilight" , so that makes one less conflict to write about.

@Kemal: I know. I've got that series too. Great series but Martin is indeed pushing it!

I've tried reading Martin. Must admit, it was not the best Russian translation. To put it short, it was very bad translation. And probably the reason why I did not like the book and ain't reading more of Martin. May be I should, instead of Gemmel.

!Jordan rocks! One of the best fantasy writers ever (together with Simmons and a few others). There should be 12 books or 13 in WoT IMHO.

There still needs to be some solution to that though. The Seanchan cannot really be allowed to keep their territorial gains on the continent.
