They could always convert a football pitch for the occasion.. Here they will occasionally play on converted American Football fields..

Actually, someone is building a pretty large baseball venue in Haarlem.

I dont think the big football clubs will give permission to make humps on their fields and add gravel patches. That will sound like sacrilege to them. Also I doubt if you have enough width when converting a football pitch. Otoh RBC Roosendaal went broke last season, so you have an empty stadium and noone playing football, easy to convert. Still I doubt if many people will come to Roosendaal, Haarlem & Rotterdam are the most logical spots imo. We could convert 'De Kuip' in Rotterdam though.... It already use for concerts as well and for the so calles football Feyenoord plays it really doesnt matter if yo have a few humps and messed up patches in your field.

It does have 2500 seats. But I was wrong, it's not Haarlem but Hoofddorp (which, for those not native to Holland, could be considered a suburb of Amsterdam, which in turn IS NOT the capital of Denmark). It's supposed to get 25.000 seats. It doesn't sound like a viable plan to me, but hey, I'm just in engineering.

Seriously a 25K seat baseball stadium. I know a lot of football clubs that aren't able to fill 25K seats on a saturday evening, not a chance this baseball stadium will get decent occupancy rates.

I'm puzzled by it as well, but it's not a BS plan. With the american league games and European cup games they expect to sell all the seats, which isn't such a ridiculous proposition. But I don't think the occupancy rate in the stadium in Haarlem is close to 100% during league games, so I'd say this stadium would be pretty empty. The stadium could be used for other events, but still... it wouldn't be profitable.

Cricket is tiny in the Netherlands, a lot smaller than baseball. Dont know what kind of venues dutch cricket clubs have but I guess they'll be a lot smaller than the baseball stadiums.
