Eh...
Steam has it's downsides. You always have to connect to the server to be able to play. The upside is that you never need a cd. And all games are patched automatically. The multiplayer support for Valve games is good, Steam is a good platform for it. I'm not sure if it'd be as good for you, as a linux user. No clue.

On second thought guys, I've really no clue how to play this, and not the time to figure it out alone. You guys wanna start a succession game or something of the like? I could use the help with it.

Halfway through my first game, and it's every bit as awesome as the old col. It looks a lot like civ4, but I'm okay with that. A pity they haven't bothered to adapt the civ lingo to col lingo in the diplomacy screens, but oh well... I'm disappointed that I haven't found a single silver source so far though.
As for the SG, I'm in. Do we have enough players already? Who's in? The only complication: I can't upload images at c3dz... so what about cdz PP?

I've been playing a lot this weekend, when I found time.
It's a bit amazing to find a few bugs so soon . The game is top! Really got me sucked up. Is it correct you cannot train veteran soldiers? I found that a bit weird. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
