It's a funny two-sided story. Because the countries are getting more together, there's a lesser affinity on the national level. Nationalism is sort of obsolete. And because of that, Flanders and Wallons feel less connected. As do Catalonians, Catalusians, Galicians, Euskartel, .... Or Frisians and (other) Dutchmen. Or Scottish and English. ...

While a lot of smaller communities (like those Matrix mentioned) aren't that eurocentric, the EU is very good for those communities. A lot of "smaller" languages and associated cultures get European fundings that they wouldn't get from their national government. The EU shows that there's not much need or use for the classic nation state.

It just shows what I have always suspected. Euro's are not so smart as they boo pretty women. Or is this just a ridiculus subset. Anyway, never boo pretty women. Cheering and waving bills at them is a much better way of "insulting" them, and who knows it may just work out for you.

Let me take a stab at it.
Bills = money, and Romeo has been spending a lot of his time at strip clubs lately, where waving his bills and insulting the strippers seems to have "just work(ed) out" for him |

Somehow I get the feeling that no one here takes Belgium's problems seriously.

Perhaps I need to clarify my comments a little more, although Grahamiam got them pretty darn close.
Most gals consider it an insult to be considered as a stripper/hooker. Thus it is insulting to them to have cash waved at them. If it is not insulting and they remove copious quantities of clothing, well then everyone wins. Other women think they are sluts, you get naked women, and people get to see that the gal in question is a money grabbing (fill in the blank). Although since very few people comprehend me and my pathologies, perhaps I should become more reclusive. Or spam more. One of those two.
