But you have to realise that pretty soon Windows will be more of a headache than other systems like GNU/Linux, especially in the business world.
OK explain this please...

How the hell can an operating system that everyone knows how to use end up being a headache in the Business World? You can't just make sweeping statements like this with nothing to back it up.

Expensive OS, requiring expensive hardware, now back with DRM everywhere... Free software is on the (big) rise in France, they're talking about 50,000 new jobs in this area within 4 years.

Ahem. No. Mostly for service to other compagnies. The potential market is huge. Open-source-based compagnies even have a special name here : SSLL (Société de Services en Logiciels Libres = Service Compagnies in Free Software), besides the classic SSIIs (Société de Services en Ingéniérie Informatique = in IT Engineering).

Weird. Switching to open source requires 50k people to support it? In addition to the IT-nerds that are already supporting people? Or are there 50k people hired for supporting open source and simultaneously 50k people fired because there's no need for their service?

Very valid point. I don't know. But don't forget that France is slightly more populated than NL.
