direct ip=yes Same behaviour in dx9 (no connect) and dx8.1 (sorry, left off the .1 earlier)...crash
to uninstall directx, I have a file called directx eradicator that does the job. Let me know if you want it. It's only 90k. It does require an Operating System CD for Win2k and WinXP...so it can restore dx8

hmmm, don't really know then, maybe your video drivers need updating to use Dx9 properly.
But probably best you use Dx8.1 as it is more likely to be stable. |

also it seems almost certain that the UK patch is a copy of the US patch and will not work (but i suspect it will if you can get your hands on a no cd patch)

CFC mentiones that the US patch works for UK releases with a workaround! As far as I can see it is done with a no-cd exe!

It's on the first page of CFC! I read TF's info at work and just concluded that they also offered the dl of a no-cd patch...
