Default 2 police officers are asking DrA questions.

I've been burglarised

housemate rang me at work at 2pm, someone had forced the back window and kicked through the locked internal doors.

I am lucky, it appears all they got specifically of mine was a £20 note left on my desk (they missed the £60 cash in the draw) and half a spliff left in my ashtray(! - and they left the container with more in it...).

My good friend Doz in the next room was not so lucky, £5k+ of professional video and laptop, plus a nice big bag of bud. Also, he had about a years worth of film and music NOT BACKED UP , now is probably not the time to remind him that I have been nagging him about having backups for critical data for a while...

The police have just left, very friendly and one of them was a dam fit wpc too , I got her number []

And suddenly I feel very stupid with my HD problem. That's very unfortunate, man, I feel sorry for you (well, for your housemate a bit more !). Damn, these are fucking annoying days. Let's hope spring brings happier times... Good luck with the cop-girl.

heh, well I am not quite sure how I would have worked that into the conversation! She was quite flirty (for a cop) but I have got into trouble before for propositioning police women

in less riveting news she didn't find any prints , so maybe I would have been better off to get the non-blonde one ?

Man that sucks!

Burglary seems quite the hot thing these days. My sister and her boyfriend got burglarised twice in 3 weeks. The second time even when she was at home. Luckily they gave up when they found she was home.

Took my het laptop, some jewelry and the remotes, leaving the tv and stereo. Police thinks 2nd time were different criminals as the method of entry was different but I'm thinking they might have come back to collect the stuff that comes with the remotes. And prolly hoping for a brand new puter too.

Police were very friendly and all, but they're very frank and say there's a 0% chance you ever see your stuff back. I say all burglars should be shot, but I'm afraid that's a bit too drastic for most people.

That would even be too drastic for Geert Wilders.

Well, DrA, is the opportunity on two police girls worth £20?
Too bad for your roommate, though.

I guess I would come close to shooting myself, if all the stuff I did over the last years, was suddenly gone.

About the back-up: easiest way to do it, is using an external HD - which might have been stolen as well, unless you keep it in an extra place, like the theory demands. But who does so?
