The question for training (if you don't train for your own team) is: Which skill is important in terms of money. E.g. I think that defending is less worth than passing for IM although one can discuss which one is more important rating wise...

Just returned from holiday 2 days ago and my team is in great shape. Although my team is getting ready for the retirement home and skill drops are a lot more frequent than skill-raises, they managed to win 7 out of 8 matches and I am still undefeated. This while piccing and playing B-team in the league. So If I get kicked out of the cup early I should be able to win the league. Since with all my oldies I am close to an average of divine team-loyalty.

It is my understanding that 2.2 levels of defending=1 level of keeper so yeah defending on your keepers is a very good thing especially as your keeper adds to your defending ratings:

defending is indeed important for keepers so training that will quickly improve the keeper. Especially at the lowest levels!!
to make my question a bit more simple: I like to know the following for soon to be taken decisions: does anyone know the effect of passing on a playmaker? |

-the rules have changed -the economy has collapsed I CBA to do anything with training secondary skills, I'll just earn money by popping young wing trainees three times and sell them for 1M profit. It might not be the fastest or the most profitable way to earn money, but it's pretty stable. And even if it's slow, you'll get where you want to be only it'll take you longer. By the time you're ready to spend all that money, how likely is it that either or both of the following has happened: -the rules have changed -the economy has collapsed Or worse, after you've spend all your money, how likely is it that either or both of the following has happened: -the rules have changed -the economy has collapsed As in my case, when I bought a magnificent PM for 3.8M that was a good price at the time. Guess if either or both of the following has happened just afterward: -the rules have changed -the economy has collapsed

Shabba is right of course regarding rule-change and economy-collapse, but considering the fact that HT:
- wants to promote multi-skills - encourages long-term club-loyalty - gives multi-skilled players a wage-advantage I will start training multi-skilled players. |

Yeah, I'm moving in to training secondary skills when I switch to IM training in 4 weeks. This will allow me to essentially train two areas of my team whilst I make the transition and to my mind make it less expensive.
The primary benefit in my mind is the effect that it will have on wage. My wage bill is astronomical in comparison to my actual income and i barely make enough to get by.

That is fair notion with your own keeper. IMO, it has little impact on the transfer price. Also, they mostly start with disastrous defending and to have an impact, you need to train to at least around passable which would take time.
