It just occured to me that... this morning I woke up right after a dream about... a Civ game. Which doesn't seem to happen every night, I confess. Anyway, I think it was a 1to1 game which developped slowly, as I couldn't really figure out where I was while still being in the first 10 turns. But already grabbed some Pyramids with a rush feature, so it was okay.
Just to clear it up, I don't believe in happy coincidences, I'm a rational man.

I noticed something interesting in the image below:
Do you see on the top left (and the sea tile on the bottom left) that the cultural border doesn't make any sense? Would there be something in the game to expand your border in some other way?

Could be. And then the desert could explain the missing sea tile.

And now there's a trailer (see official site). And... well, that's just what it is : a trailer.

Yes, trailer is kind of ... how to say this politely ... extremely useless and stupid.

I'm quite happy to say it- the trailer was crap. The only use was to see the 5 or so civs which would be in the game but then they were some of the most obvious in advance anyways; China, Japan, Mongols, Egypt, some form of middle eastern civ. I guess there are also some units but again they're obvious- xbox, archers, horses etc.

My lil' bro is studying 3D animations, so I tend to think trailers aren't as stupid as I thought they were.
But this one really wasn't cool. But still useful : we now know that there is war in the game, and also ships, and cities, mountains, and quotes. Hey that got me thinking : could it be a new Civ game we have here ?

No, this trailer is utter crap. Unless it's actual ingame footage, than it's really awesome.
