Voted for the 1st option, but in fact I won't buy it on the 1st day here. I'll wait a tiny bit to see reactions here and at CFC, and also to see if it's better to get the French or the US version (I have no clue about this right now, even if someone tells me the versions will be compatible this time).

Having bought vanilla civ3 on the first day it was out in the Netherlands, and thus being quite disappointed with the huge load of gamebreaking bugs, I am quite hesitant to buy it immediately...
Maybe I'll look at my girlfriend really nice and then suggest it would be a nice present for "sinterklaas" or Christmas... It's a shame the game comes out two weeks (or something) after my birthday, otherwise that would have been a nice option too. Voted option 2

I will buy it the weekend after it comes out (5-6 days later), to first see reactions from people..

Pre-ordered.
I can afford to buy a number of games speculatively. I bought MOO3 and only played it once...

I will not buy it because my CIV days are over. I would have bought it on the first day and would have taken the day off if things hadn't changed so drastically this year.

Going to buy it on the weekend it hits the shelves.
The excitement level will be higher if I don't know hot it's comming out (this is why I do not read too many previews)

I will buy it...or maybe even pre-order if from Amazon. My observation skills are pretty low...i never noticed any bugs in Vanilla civ until you spoil sports here and at CFC pointed them out.

I'll buy it a.s.a.p.. Bugs don't bother me that much in the beginning, because then I don't know the game that well yet anyway. Besides, I'm just too anxious.
