Happy new year all!
So far, I have mostly played civ V this year. Even worse: on an iMac...... What's happened to me?

Don't know, but you're not here often enough!

I blame civ V. I picked it up last year and concluded it was too broken. I guess it still is, but the one-more-turn-syndrom has bitten me these days.
A year ago I hadn't even bothered to look into multi player options. I'm quite surprised to learn there actually is no proper multi-player option.......

Firaxis is still working on it. On the one hand, that's a good thing (as they're not making money on it and still spending money on it), on the other hand it's a shame it's still not okay. But in the next few months there's supposed to be actual multiplayer improvements.

But then again, does a game that only costs 5 euros need perfectly working multiplayer? For the current price civ5 has the optimal price/one more turn relation.

But this feel a like buying a new Volkswagen Golf6 and its much awaited new window opening system, which appears to be manually operated. Some things about CiV are quite.........., well hilarious. The AI simply can't handle the 1 unit per tile concept. And AI diplo seems to be random, especially when at war or going to war. Two funny things: -The AI had lost about 30 units against my two (and that only by misclicking.....), but still feels it can get 7 of my cities for peace..... -I demand 1000 gold from a really far away AI, and upon refusal I declare war. Within three turns it offers peace and is happy to pay 3000 gold and 6 types of luxuries.
