120 minutes played:
- 1st half started promising
- Then not particular interesting with equal changes for both teams until couple of minutes in the 2nd extension:
- ZIDANE WHY THE FUCK DID YOU DO THIS

Because of this Zidane incident I really hope Italy wins the penalty shoot-out.

EDIT: accident > incident as this clearly wasn't an accident.

Well, indeed they've won.

Come on Italy!!!

Zidane: showing his true nature there. I hope they suspend him for 35 matches to make sure he never returns. What an ass.

France was perhaps a little bit better this game but all in all Italy is a good champion.

he hit an Italian player with his head in the chest without the ball being around and without any provocation as far as was shown on TV.

Stupid thing to do if you ask me. Especially coming from him. I always thought he was a calm player. Above resorting to such behaviour..

The better team won!

Zidane was an idiot...

The French penalty was a wrong call. Nothing happened. Italy deserved this.

For me, the better team lost today. Italy was slightly better in first half but from then on only France played. The showed their best performance in this tourney today.

I think, the French penalty was correct, he even had to give at least one more when Malouda got fouled in second half by Zambrotta(?)

From a whole tourney point of view, I agree that Italy was stronger than France, but not today.

Zidane: no comment
But our TV showed the scene a little longer, surely Materazzi said something to him, probably an insult, but such a thing is never excusable.
