I think it's a nice touch: it gives a good reason to go to war. I think the downside of jihad or any pact in multiplayer that you can get the others to declare war, but you can't force them to actively wage war.

I've decided to save and pause, because in these last turns too much it going on. (Even though it might be 'click and wait', I'm still hoping for some other outcome...) Besides, it wouldn't be fun if someone comes home from holiday and find out the game has ended (whether he won or not).

We'll continue on the 2nd of january 2008.

Russia ain't got no spies. The knowledge of Communism unfortunately remains unknown to the Russian scientists. We have barely managed to get what we have without learning it. Also, there is no time to waste on revolutions and such.

Yeah right.......

If one thing is boring, it is space race games. Click and wait.....
Yes because MP games are well known for their lack of wars
The point is that when one is out of the space-race competition, one hardly has an opportunity, but war.

Apart from that, I actually do think war is the way to end a game. Usually, a space race vic or a diplo vic is a sudden end to an otherwise active game.

Don't see how a space race is a sudden end. Anyway if you want after the space race is done we will continue the game so we can finish our little war. Let's see how you go when i'm putting in more than a 20% effort

Your remark only shows you fail to understand my reasoning. My only opportunity in this game, was when players on the main continent would get into a massive war. You have effectively killed that opportunity.

And then tried to keep me quite with a resource or two.....

Get over it and pay the price for your strategy in this game .

No need for trashtalk.

I have no problems with space or diplo. It's not a sudden victory: you can see it coming for ages, and everyone could have had their shot at preventing it. Although being on a continent far away clearly doesn't help. Pulling off a space victory is hard enough as it is: you have to maintain a tech lead while keeping everyone off your back. This space victory is build on solid diplo and a solid geographic position. If China had been lying next to Rome I doubt this game would've been so peaceful.

Well i asked you what you wanted, you said you would get back to me. Which you didn't because the next message i got was you were attacking.

Besides if you hadn't wasted all those units messing around with simon and actually went after some you could have taken out like Beam or Matrix then you just might be in a winning position right now. So yeah you pissed me off for going to war for no real reason. You see the thing is favours get repaid. Maybe next time around you'll be in a winning position and i wont have a chance, had you not attacked me, then i would repay the favour. Diplomacy isn't about one game, its about every game.
