I still vote for Assembly Line as Factories and Infantries will be a big help for our mission. We should take all what's not Indian and hope that this is enough. Switching to Judaism could keep the other option open, we don't need Free Religion as I don't think we need many techs from now on.

no, you start building up cash so when the corruption gets so severe from all the cities and we're doing negative(-)gpt even though sci and culture are at 0%, we can still carry on. However, it looks like we want to keep researching to Assembly Line for Infantry, which would make the American War much easier so I'm fine with that.

1661 a.d. set research to assembly line, move a grenadier across the pond.

IBT Saladin throws a catapult and a camel at Mecca. Free experience points.

1664 a.d. An american revolt takes place in Damascus. The chance of a new revolt is 8%. I'll see if I can get some units in there, but I don't think it's much of a problem right now.
Copperfield builds a jewish missionary. We're creating these missionaries so we can switch to judaism later on, but since we're in theocracy we can't use them now. Copperfield is making a rifleman now; there's 1 other jewish missionary under construction, and we already have another one, so we can't make more for the moment. We could have used some hindu missionaries to get us some happiness and culture in Arabia. I'm considering switching civics, but the only one that makes sense now is organized religion. Though it seems we're making nothing but building atm, OR is 30 gpt more expensive so I decide against that.
FnC builds a bank. At first I wanted to build a temple there, because of the war weariness, but I decide on a hindu missionary instead. Because of aforementioned reason, obviously Because of the WW I make another specialist, starving the city instead of letting it grow.

Frontline news: I move a stack towards Medina.

I'm wondering what you guys think of theatres. I've found them to be very effective to control WW. The loss of research/gold is balanced by higher production/income. BTW, in our big cities we now have +4 from emancipation. Not. Good.

1667 a.d. Sweet spot builds grocer, switches to rifle. Cuzco builds university, switches to a bank (in 4 turns). After that I think barracks are appropriate, and then we can start churning out infantry.

1673 a.d. Front: I capture Medina and take 214 gold and 3 workers. I move the cannons towards Mecca, so I can make a new stack to move on. I keep the cavalry in Medina to heal (and guard it, obv.).
I spread judaism in Beamsk.

1676 a.d. Westbank builds harbor, now building a temple. WW is getting a nuisance now. CC builds something, building a temple. Ollantaytanbo builds a forge, working on a market. I move a stack out of Mecca SW.

In other news: BK makes a Great artist. Now, to discuss what we're going to do with it (and because it took me over an hour to get this far), let's take a moment to discuss what we're going to do with him. I propose we ship him to America to "culture bomb" a city we capture from Roosevelt. Perhaps we should switch to 5 turns per turnset btw, I think 10 is a lot a this stage of the game.

AFAIK getting our state religion into captured towns reduces flipping risk, but since we want to attack Washington soon, it's not a really big problem.

Theatres in captured towns are very nice cause they also make Artists available which is a big help vs flipping.

That's what I used theatres for mainly as well, indeed. I never made much use of the culture slider, but it does work.

theaters are good, cheap culture. very good for captured cities, especially since we're going for domination Also very nice when you have dyes.
