Yeah, I'm too eager. I'll think about revolting, it might be a good call.

Turn 99: My rampaging forces destroyed the Portuguese. In a final offensive they had moved their troops out of their capital. A very weird move, I hadn't seen that before from the AI (I wish it'd do that in regicide, but nooooo...).
As a celebration, my people revolted. In the picture you can see how I blocked the land bridge from incoming settlers. 104.24KB

shabba, in 1.15 an on, the AIs do NTO keep such excssive numbers of defenders around usually, instead the pile up on attack spears etc. Seen it quite often pull your troops out of a town closeby and plae them next to the captial. Wait until they move out to get the otehr town, take the capital.

Turn 101: I checked F7 and saw that Matrix captured the statue of Zeus from the dutch. Not. Good.
I've got 26 shields in Shabbaville atm. 8 more turns of Golden Age. I could get Hanging Gardens in 12, so that'd be 9 turns GA + about 6 not in GA. I guess it might be too late for it though. Would it be worth do try to prebuild something else? I think I should be planning how I want to win this game. I've got this big pile of gallic swordsmen that I should be using before pikemen I guess... I'll take out the romans first (should be able to do that quickly, they haven't got iron or horses) and then the sumerians. I think I'll build a scout ship first, I have no clue about the shape of the world. I guess it's round though.

I wanted to grab that land asap. And all that desert isn't really appealing construction ground. Location, location, location...
I'll build the FP in Hamburgerville and fill the land around it with cities. Before I go to war with Rome, that is.

Holy fuck, I made this map so long ago I really don't recall what it was like anymore. Anyway, looking at your last pic I would rather attack Rome as some sort of diversion for units moving to Sumeria instead of dedicating da whole force to those pathetic Romans.
Any clue about Matrix' whereabouts?

Turn 110: I've spotted Matrix' curragh. He's got the same area of land (10%), but I've got 2% more citizens. Probably not counting the 3 settlers I've got atm... My military is strong compared to his. I wonder if he's already got his golden age (probably, since he's Babylon). He does have a bunch of wonders though.
I'm attacking the Romans within 10 turns. They're pretty close to hooking up that iron, and I want their lands. For the moment, I'm leaving Sumeria alone.
