And a cap can indeed flip (by propaganda;-))
I once saw a shot of a capital flip at Poly. I was very sceptic ans so were most folks who also thought it was just faked. But it probably was for real.
According to Oysteins propaganda-formula, a capital can flip. I gave it a try: 63.95 KB |

Bugseeker! Please post the biq, I do believe you, just like to see how it can happen. How much culture is in both cities btw?

No prob. It sure is from a mod.
The save: Download Attachment: flip_cap.SAV 13.7KB Just shift-e and initiate propaganda. This is more convenient, since I made maybe 100 attempts. And here's the biq. IIRC there's tweaks as addiditonal starting units, (M)GLs for rushing wonders (the GL-bug helps here), techs and gold. Fire up as multiplayer. Can you load the biq into the editor then? (C3C 1.22) If the save works, you could load that from C3C main menue. Or just PM your e-mail, I send over both files unzipped. edit245: just rechecked the start from the biq with these settings: PBEM/load scen/close all slots except #1, #2 (both human, think that's important), turn timer off (should not matter anyways). The map is ultra-ultra-tiny (20x20 or so), maybe that's an issue? But the save should be more convenient, since you need not to wait for the RNG. |

Oh, it sure is a propaganda flip.
Sorry, didn't want to confuse it with a culture flip, should have stated that more clear. I originally used the biq for a UN-test, i.e. if a nomadic civ could be a UN candidate. That's not possible, although it can sometimes (?) put a vote. ('sometimes' is prolly related to some MP UN bug). While I were at it, I gave the propaganda thingie a try. IIRC usual discussions go like 'a cap can never ever flip' (of course that's true for c/f), but here's a sav showing a successfull (propaganda-) flip. Should happen rarely in a game anyways, although it could help getting rid of a civ restricted to a one tile island in case marines/zerks are not around (or to avoid a MPP trigger). Noticed a strange thing: when starting from the save, I cannot rebuff the rebels (?). |
