Default Confused about cloaked units

Stumbled across this.
Somehow I can't see units on the map when I access New Yax city view.
It works fine from another city view.
How come??

It's no mod, btw.

plain map view:

123.75 KB

units not seen from here...

178.31 KB

...but from here:

159.68 KB

Only thing I can think of from a purely annalytical point of view is that maybe only attacking units are visible in the city view?

Try wandering that horse out of New Yax and sese if that is visible?

My tuppence.

PS. In other news my wireless network is accessible from my garden with the new laptop so I might get tanned this year after all!
PPS. Posting from the garden in case that wasn't clear

AFAIK you could always see every unit type from the city view, no matter if they were moved already or not.
Besides, the Javs near that barb camp are neither visible.
FWIW, I did a couple of reloads which turned out to be even more weird.
If I move the horse to the tile N of New Yax, it is visible from the city view.
If the horse goes to the other tiles (jungle W or forest WE), it's camouflaged.
(edit: due to east-west mix up...)

a propos: diguised in a shrubbery
Posting from the garden?
Isn't it still kinda cold there?

Grille--that's weird. Cultural borders?
Meli...can I call you Meli like everyone else?
The garden won't work. I tried on my boat from the laptop and with the sun you can't see the screen.

Been lovely over here!

Morning spent in the local swimming pool.

Spent a pleasant afternoon in the garden, unblocking the drains

Slightly sun-burnt now and tired.

18C here today

Could you send me that save? Would love to have a look over it

Was gonna suggest a forest vs jungle difference until I noticed you'd done that.

Ah but I live in the UK, the sun is rarely a problem.

18 degrees, not bad.

lol, I should know, but haven't checked charts recently.
There appears to be a meridional flow situation, UK is under a neat ridge (yields warm air). Northern Germany, though, gets arctic air (about -5 last night, rather cool during the day, but sunny nevertheless). Someone should tell Paali to close the fridge door!

Tried to mail a save.

FWIW, me thinks it's sorted.
The world is flat, thus there must be an edge and New Yax appaears to be on that edge.
See, New Yax is in the middle of nowhere:

111.58 KB

92.65 KB

It appears that all units exactly on (or east of the NewYax-north-south axis?) can be seen from the city view. Citzens just don't bother staring beneath the edge!
(guess it's the same the other way round for cities founded on the longitude 1 tile to the west of that axis)
