Mind, Body and SOUL pbem spoilers

We, and i do allow myself to speak thus, are the guys from THE Apollo AKA the greeks.
we rule by the sheer strength of our soul, and plan to bring hope and joy to the rest of the world soon.

you may call me "The Godfather"


we are 5 human players + 3 AI.
i play the greeks, while BEF plays the MAYA.
the others are:
Praetorian - germany (a nice chap from israel. this promises to be a bloody one)
Blaze Injun is playing the OTTOMANs (promising a wild late MA)
Tar is the trading ENGLISH (he will be on my good side, unless bothers me too much)

AS BEF retorted to my: can you spell "extra settler" by a: A.G.R.F.O.O.D.B.O.N.U.S
i expect him to be my most harmful rival.


situation now, as of turn 8:
i have, due to circumstances beyond me, settled not on a river, nor on the shores of the sea.
YES - i blame tribute for it.
(he created the heavens and earth. he also had to play my first turn)

we have QUITE a few BG's - which is uber cool.

i have sent a warrior out up north to explore, and he has brought back wonderful news - WINES
a second warrior is just about ready, with the plan being - get a granary up and running and start settling.

this is my kingdom now.

possible plans for winning:
* 20k win. i have 7 BGs, 2 good foods, and some chops available.
i should be able to pull this off if i play defensively.
* space - again this seems like a nice core, but the south and north seem horrible!
full of desert, floodplains and other mean critters.

100k - out of the question.
dom or conq - possible, but i will have to see to that later.

as of now i seem to favour the 20k one.
ill grab myself a nice parcel of land, to fit 15 or so towns, and just pump way.

any thoughts anyone?
