L'Equipe: in stage 11 a 3rd doping case. No name mentioned yet.
Place your bets - who is it? link (french): http://www.lequipe.fr/Cyclisme/breve...125642Dev.html (corrected source. not UCI, but L'Equipe)

I am betting on Patxi Vila Errandonea.
For Rasmussen you'd probably only get 1.1 for 1... OTOH, Rasmussen knew the day before that he'd be tested on that stage. If he used Testosteron nevertheless then he'd really be stupid.

His Time Trial was outstanding, but easily explainable. It went uphill or downhill and was not flat most of the time. And a very good time-trial specialist (Erik Dekker) rode with him in the morning to let Rasmussen benefit from his time-trial experience. If you add that to the morale Rasmussen had his achievement is not as remarkable as it might seem at first.

I guess some people might be in for a shocker opening today's papers...
Rasmussen been put out of the Tour. (No on the basis of a positive test, however, but on not misinforming the team on his whereabouts)

unfreaking believeable.. I just finished watching the taped live feed and I came online to check thw interviews and stuff. I couldnt believe it.
I applaud Rabobank. They sacked him due to violations of their teams code of conduct. Thats sends a message... no man or position in a race is above the rules. Supposedly cycling news reports that the team has proof that he was lying about his whereabouts for the doping controls. Instead of being in Mexico he was in Italy working with a unnamed doctor. They also said it wasnt the first time he lied to them. It sucks after having 2 entertaining stages with 2 (or 3)guys fighting it out that it was all for nothing. I feel cheated. |

As I wrote above, I don't think it is just Rasmussen.
Contador is on Dr.Fuentes list but it seems they didn't find his blood like Basso's and Ulrich's. Probably all that were in the top 10 after the Alps are using dope. So, Rasmussen would have been no worse winner than Contador is. My opinion. And I am someone who believed in cycling long after many people said all would be using dope. I hope at least some are clean. Moreni is another example. Why is he using it if he won't get a good place in the tour anyway?
