CA 2 will not give info on the techs your opponents have, nor gold, nor %-age of land etc.
You can however see the techs / gold your partner has. And you can see the beaker-cost going down when an enemy discovers a tech.

1 - Due to never being able to make peace.
2 - Due to the peace (or being able to make peace). 3 - You cannot see it going down while researching; but you see a drop when someone discovers the tech. If you research for instance Free Artistry, the others will see the cost go down on the turn it is discovered. A bit like checking F6, but it also works for techs you cannot see in the F6 screen.

Yeah I'm fine with anyone that wants to use CA2. I haven't used it at all in this PBEM. The only time that I've used it is mainly for MTDG over at cfc. It does come in handy at work with no civ but I have CA2 installed so I can make rational comments about SG's (as opposed to all of my other comments)

@Grahamiam - I will be away from Sunday 15th thru Wed 18th. During this time frame if you could send your saves to both Rik and Me I'd appreciate it.
I'll post back here upon my return

Back.. Thanks to Rik for playing my turns and Grahamiam for re-routing them whilst I was gone. I see I am up. I will play the turns tonight when I get home.

Holly thinks she tossed my C3C install disk (a sign from God she said) and my PC that has C3C on it needs a new power cord (in tatters) so I ordered C3C for the other PC and will install it tonight.
