thats really not that much trouble...its just an open and reload the save.

no it is because it means that the people who made the saves have to keep a dual install for when they're asked to do so.

Why are you so sure? Did you try?

I've worked on Vista on my parents new computer and the file structure is very similar to XP although naming conventions are a bit different. And I vaguely recall you also have an XP computer.

Oh yeah, but that one is tucked away safely in my basement. Vista has this strange thing with registering programs. I don't know, actually. But I don't see a reason why I should make a DL to begin with: there's an official patch, so why shouldn't matrix update his server with it?

And the dual install basically involves copy/paste. I assume you can do this in Vista without registering? Maybe one of the ppl using Vista can help?
