The difference here is that the majority of the 10 unit stack was catapults, so i only had an elephant a spear and a couple of axes.

If you can suicide the cats against them xbows, then follow up with some elephants you can quite easily keep on rolling into the capital what with the elephants 50% vs mounted. Leaving the spear and archer in the capital. At the very least you could move your troops in and start pillaging his lands so he can't get any help building more troops.

Ok I will build another phant then start killing his xbows. IF my timing is right I will be able to attack him on the turn he knocks my culture down to 0%....OR would it better to sit and let him attack me.

elephants make the most sense to build, he has nothing to counter them at the moment.

I attack Tomorrow....

he just built another xbow in his city. I will have my 2 phants once the turn flips. He moves first so he will either bomb the city or attack. Either way tomorrow starts the active part of the war. My next build is an archer( settler escort) followed by a sword,ax or phant depending if he whips a spear or if he sticks with xbows.

you dont need an archer there are two coming your way shortly.

Robi can you gift me that galley of yours over near my cities so i can put the archers in it?

OK another phant.....any ideas where to place the next city. I am thinking up north to get horses. If any one you want to mark a spot or make a suggestion. I will add a sign next turn of a few places.

I also think expanding towards PAL could be a good idea. It would give my cities in that direction more cultural defense if I claim that territory now instead of later.
