Default KoD/Tournament game 1 - available in 3 levels!!

After talking for awhile about starting a tournament and possibly merging it with KoD we now have a first game.

This game is available in 2 divisions. A division that centers around emperor level and one that centers around deity level. Both maps and civ are exactly the same for both games which has two implications:

- You can't read spoilers of the other division unless you reached the cutt-off point for the spoiler.
- The map-maker can't play competitive. This last one isn't a biggie, but might result in Beam or me looking for a mapmaker volunteer once in a while

The Game
The tech pace on higher levels can be crazely fast, in C3C this pace can even be more wild than in PTW because the max no of turns has been increased, the introduction of the scientific leader, the free tech for Philosophy and off course the higher Sid level, which is a challenge all by it's own. This means we have to learn to cope with being back in tech. This game is meant to take this to the extreme by having one constraint:

You're not allowed to research any tech!

You may trade, steal, deal, extort as much as you want but you cant research a tech. So science slider to 0% and also NO SCIENTISTS allowed.

We play as the Byzantines and here's the starting location.

43.06*KB

All victories allowed, earliest date of finish wins the game.

So this is a Byzantine game and no science is allowed? Sounds like a wasted trait to me, apart from the free techs. The thing that I learned to like a lot of C3C single player is the fact that you actually CAN research a lot yourself (up to deity). This type of game is totally unnatural for me at the moment. I'll have a shot at deity.

Deity on C3C and with this kind of difficult variant is *real* hard...
If I try it, I wont break my ass on Deity but will go for Emperor

Count me in on deity.

What is my goal? Win asap? That would be cool. Or milk the game? That would not bee that cool.

What does KoD mean btw?
