And my first BTS game is underway. Its pretty much the default settings with Tech trading off. The map size is standard and the player count is 18 so there is bound to be a few wiped out early on. Here is the line up;

Classical_Hero - Zara Yaqob, Ethiopia

Dandridge - Darius, Persia
Azzaman - Pacal II, Maya

Little Corporal - Napoleon, France
Robboo - Hannibal, Carthage
Whomp/Tubby - Mansa Musa, Mali
Stapel - Ragnar, Vikings
taillesskangaru - Suvayarman, Khmer
IglooDude - Boudica, Celtia
Socralynnek - Huayna Capac, Inca

I chose to go with Greece out of tradition. Bascially going all the way back to Civ 1 some 17 years ago my first game has been with Greece so why stop now. And with Pericles being the new leader avilable for the Greeks i figured i'd give him a go.

And here is my start.

I got myself a nice little peninsular of my own with some wool and fur, which should come in handy in winter since i can see iceburgs off my coast.

AH was a pretty obvious choice for research since i have lots of sheep and the warrior again is obvious since i currently have no and don't wish to rely on the charity of others.

So far my BTS experience is limited so i'll be learning as much as i will be working out strageies and tactics. For now i'm off to explore what beyond my little peninsular

We are a couple of turns in now. I have a tiny peninsular with 2 sheep, 2 furs and marble. My scout made it to the mainland and i don't like what i see. French borders a couple of tiles away so i'm going to have to race out a settler to avoid being blocked in, or hopefully i find some copper and take him out early.

Just continued to explore my surroundings a bit more. And if having the French close by was bad enough, the Germans are right next door.

Basically i have space for 2 cities. If the rest of the map is this roomy i expect it will get real nasty real soon

I ran into a Khmer scout and the Mali border.

Whomp and Tubby who are playing as the Mali seem keen to reach an agreement where the other 3 have been non responsive to even a hello.

Haven't given an update for a while. A few things have happened. First the random events were nice to me. Apparantly some wild dogs have been domesticated and sold as pets so the sheep tile being worked gives me an extra gold

I finished BW only to find that i have no copper near me to go along with the lack of horses. I've made a deal with whomp/Tubby. We are going to join forces and get rid of the French and Germans. They are looking at teaming up with a third so we can take control of our island.

I have a set deal with Whomp/Tubby and Killercane. The three of us are going to work together to take control of this island. The first step is France. Whomp has agreed to raise the city so i can grab the copper to the north which will let me go after Germany. For this attack i'm playing support since i have only archers and warrior.

Also i'm told the HRE is in the area as well but i'm yet to meet them. I've hooked up all the resources near Robigrad which has lifted my economy, i'm 5th in GNP, 2nd in Production.

The baldies made quick work of the french. Paris fell in the space of 2 turns. Complete kills is on so you can see the french settler trying to get away but there is not much hope for him really. I'm looking to get my second city now

Its been a while since the last update.
As you can see i got my second city up and running with a third on the way soon.

Also my vote for noob of the week goes to germany. Why on earth you would send a settler unescorted is beyond me

While i wanted some more troops before going to war i wasn't going to pass up the oppertunity to take it. My new worker is with the Axe which is a gift from my good friends whomp and tubby

I've moved up to his capital. He has 3 archers and a warrior so i'm going to need some more units. Also got another worker he had just sitting on a hill
