How did you find the Milfound Sound track?
We're going over there in Feb '09 for 3 weeks and I'm trying to convince my wife to do that walk.

Sir Eric, I didn't walk that one. Instead I walked the Keppler Track and Routeburn Track. We were too late booking the Milford Track.
Doing a multi day hike is an absolute must when you are on the South Island. The scenery is spectacular. The Milford Track is the best known one, but I'm sure that the shorter Routeburn Track is just as beautiful. I'd advise you to hike either the Milford Track or the Routeburn Track. Make sure that you visit Milford Sound by car or bus if you don't hike this one! |
