25.5 hours of labor??? That's exhausting.... Sherry only had 15 with Ana and that seemed like forever.

You are correct about the infection setting in after the water breaks. I'm glad to hear that they're both ok. It's a bit scary when things don't happen the way that you expect them too, but who said it was supposed to be easy.
Epidurals are used a lot over here in the States but I think that they are starting to try "natural" childbirth again more and more. Personally I'd get an epidural if a watermelon sized baby was coming out one of my orifaces. Anyhoo... Congrats again on the healthy baby girl.
