Can't say I've ever played a 3rd person shooter as I prefer 1st person ones myself. Also, I don't have an HDTV nor an XBox, so I can't say I have much experience with them since there aren't many for PC. However, I have heard good things about it and I'm glad you enjoyed it. You may want to rent Dead Space (?) as that's new + 3rd person as well iirc.

My video card recently burned out and I've bought 9800GT for a really bargain price ($105) and together with it, they gave me Crysis. Actually, it is a very decent game based on an hour experience I played it. And I'm not a big fan of shooters, however, Crysis is indeed very different and very-very enjoyable.

Akots, you should try S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (1st one, not the prequel). Mixes RPG and shooter in a alternative history version of Chernobyl. Weather effects are amazing and the AI is pretty good. Nothing like defending against a heavy assault at midnight during a driving rain/lightning storm.

It is very hard, though, so don't be afraid to set it to easy if you pick it up (should be less than $20 now). It was made by a Ukrainian developer, so you can play in your native language.

I know Stalker, I've read all the books and the movie is one of my favorites. However, I dislike the general idea and even though I greatly enjoyed Witcher (alas, this game is quite short), I don't think I'll like Stalker based on what I read and saw.

Ah, me too. It's so bad (time wise) that I;m still in the first galaxy

And then I have lying around
- super paper mario, also very good. At 67%
- Guitar Hero, 66% of hard carreer atm. And now they're releasing GHWT and I;m not even done at hard....
- Zelda, twilight princess, about 25%
- Mario Kart, not even past 50CC
- Wii Fit, I play once in a while.

In short: I need to stop buying games, can't play em anyway.

Or I should take a sabbatical......

Well, you can sleep less. It is hard in the beginning but after some time, you might get used to it. Some people never do though, it is individually based. I usually try to limit wasting time on sleep to 4-5 hours maximum but would welcome a break at least once a week. And it helps to stop watching the TV.
