No problem. I'm just glad that it hasn't died and that you still want to play.
Kryszctov: Spoiler thread as in a thread where I post all that I have done on turns, future stratagies to win, etc. Obviously the term 'spoiler' refers to it as being a 'spoiler of a game' if you read it. :-p Just on one of my PBEM's I had someone wander into the thread and read it before realising. :-p Anyway, good luck with the deadline Anarres.

@Anarres: This game actually becomes a rather time-consuming task at around turn 50-60 since it is on a large map with little water and it is quite possible to grow to +120 cities. We played one down to the end (turn 130 iirc) and even without major wars on most of turns, it took me about 40 minutes to manage troop builds, cities, and all the stuff in the game and I'm probably playing 2-3-times faster than you. So, it is a rather considerable committment. Well, there is always an option of winning (losing) earlier.

About akots's remark, it is true : turns in the middle of the game are long to complete, you must have this in mind. Maybe it is time to try to play a bit faster, anarres ? I say this for myself too BTW. But don't worry, I don't expect this game to go as fast as a standard 4-p game. Now, that's not an excuse to delay the playing of turns all the time, of course.

- I was for no trade with the AIs on turn 0, because I know there are issues. Can someone tell us what this really implies, akots maybe ? Or is it only MAs which are broken on turn 0 ? I think it's OK with trades on turn 1 ?
- Do we allow MAs with AIs against humans or not ? I'm fine with both, but I'd prefer none, maybe it's fairer for everyone. AIs in this conquest are already very aggressive. - For the rest, see the 1st post. Do we allow razing cities upon capture ? I'll wait for people to answer this before playing turn 1.

On turn zero AI has not moved yet nor evaluated the situation including budget, military powers, etc and trades are weird. The most impressive example is winning Napoleonic conquest (any difficulty) on turn zero for France or Britain since AI will trade all their cities except capital for MPP with these two powers.

Guys, some may find it annoying, but some of you don't read threads carefully (I know it ), and so we come to situations where confusion has arisen... I'd prefer everyone (that means not only me, but also anarres, Stapel, and Black_Waltz) to agree on every rule before starting. Sorry if I played my turn while coming up with the ideas, sometimes you don't know all the issues in advance. But I'd choose replaying turn 0 at 100% over having the game crippled from the start for so many turns... Even if it means a delay of several days.
I know there is an issue, and I told Stapel about it on MSN, it concerns trades. More than playing, I'd prefer the communication to be clear, and this thread is the support for it, use it.

black_waltz at tiscali.co.uk I had put it in the other thread. Sorry.
Anyway, as far as AI trades. We leave it for one cycle of the turns. Yes?
