turn 255
After 20 turns of herioc battles, with German troops invading Greek territory again (after the second Greek attack on Babylon, which happened after some turns of skirmishes along the Greek and Carthignian borders), some large battles have happened. These battles were fought with 100 arties and about 100 inf/cav on both sides. The result was that the Germans lost some 50 infantry and the Greeks about 15 cavs and a few infantry. Large German loses but the Greeks were halted with their invasion in Babylon. Also the Germans are able to carry these loses. But now we are closing the age of the... PANZERS!!!! Overview 32.86KB The 3 dots represent the 3 main battles were all the Germans were bombed to 1hp and then raided by Greek cavs! The Germans focused on drawing the Greeks to the south instead of the Babs cities up north... |

A diversion then, and a costly one. It didn't accomplish much though, as the evil followers of Hammurabi soon found themselves chased out of their peninsula:
5.74*KB At the same time, in turn 257 the Greeks signed peace with the Ottomans, and with the Carthaginians in turn 258.

turn 263
After the shock of having those damn Greeks running over the nothern Bab cities the Germans decided to throw in their panzers. This time the unreliable Ottomans were the target. In 6 turns they whiped out the Ottomans due to the sheer (panzer) production capacity in mobilization and Golden Age! 12.58KB |

Turn 264
[u]The Third Battle for Carthage</u> 116.57*KB After investigating the Greek forces along the frontline the Germans decided to take out the Greek forces forces in Hippo and Theveste and the troops on II (small) and I (approx 50 units, about 30 art, 15 inf and 7 tanks). We place or arty out of reach of the hugh stack on the mountain (III, some armies, lots of infs) who are immobile. The tanks in IV (small) seem a nice target too... pre war stats: Germany: 003 cav, 105 inf, 129 arty, 043 tanks, 000 armies Greece : 025 cav, 080 inf, 113 arty, 033 tanks, 003 armies - move my arties in reach of I and out of reach of III - bomb all units from I to 1 hp - destroy the approx 30 Greek units and lose 4 tanks and 1 cav and capture the arty's and workers - unsuccesfully bomb the tank (to 2hp) in Hippo (approx 10 times) - take and raze Hippo, kill 1 tanks, 0 loses - move my remaining arties west of Oea (Babylonian) and bomb the units in II - destroy II and its workers, kill 6 inf, no loses - move my remaining arty's west of Teveste and bomb IV (the tanks) - capture and raze Theveste, kill 1 tank, no loses - destroy IV, kill 4 tanks, no loses - retreat wounded tanks, cavs and remaing arties + tanks from the frontline (I am [u]edit: NOT</u> totally certain about the loses but you can count them out with the stats.) after war stats: Greece: 025 cav, 064 inf, 86 arty, 020 tanks, 003 armies 138.29*KB |

ps:
On the mountain there are Greek tanks and lots of cavs, infs and arty's. On the hill with the Greek inf army there are arty's, wounded tanks and a bunch of infs. It is now Jacks turn to strike at us: - he can attack my nothern forces (the arty stack, only with his cavs form the mountain, exposing them to us). - he can attack the eastern forces (the arty stack, only with his cavs form the mountain, exposing them to us). - he can attack the southwestern stack (with the tanks and cavs he has in reserve, he can also bomb that stack by the way. If he does this he can retake his arty's but will expose his tanks and recaptured arty's). Recounting: in the turn I killed 16 inf, 13 tanks, about 10 workers and captured 27 arty's. |
