Got faith in civ5?
Whether or not you believe civ5 to be a game worth to play or not, with the release of the upcoming Gods&Kings expansion Civ5 will have religion in it.

Civ 3 and 4 have taught a couple of things.
A) don't buy anything until the first patch out. b) skip the fist expansion, there will be another one a few months later that will include the first one.

I do agree with barbu1977, but still it looks like a great improvement.

They changed that slightly with civ4, in that they left some of the scenarios out. Of course you could probably just redownload them and most of the scenarios they included on the final expansion pack were created at cfc anyways!

Not sure, looks like a big step towards Civ4 fan requests. Main question is whether they will fix MP, PB, PBEM, hot seat. So far, it does not get better despite all the claims. People have to use some hacked VPN client(s) to be able to play, save, and report MP and there is no trace of PB or PBEM. And hot seat is bugged to the point of ridiculous. Single player is not what makes the game interesting to me, I've had enough of this with Civ1, Civ2, and Civ3.

It seems other mp Playstyles apart from the steam lobby are low on the priority list. I fear we won't see the return of pbem anytime soon, which is à pity cause it suits a game like civ really well. It won't happen that i'll spend 30 hours straight on an internet mp game, i need that chopper into bitesized pieces
I won't be buying this the day it is released, maybe in some holiday sale.

If they get the combat system right, then (after the first patch is out), I might buy CIiv5 finally. But of course only if I got a new machine until then...but that is planned anyway in the next few months.
In Civ3 and 4, I also skipped the first expansion pack, but whereas with Civ3 you were able to load saves from PTW, Civ4 warlords games couldn't be played with BtS. But that was not a big problem for me...
