What will/would you do with the worker?
Looking at the pics first thought is a road to Shanghai, but the sav can change all of that, did you mail it btw?

I just noticed the wheat on floodplains just outside Shanghai borders. We could use that very well. I'd say lets whip and/or build a temple after the warrior is finished. Iirc not irrigated floodplains give 2 food. So for now we're using the BG as they have 2food+1 shield.

So for the worker I'd say finish the road on the current tile, move west: mine and road and move west and mine and road again.

Another option is building a city on or near the hill our warrior has just disclosed. This will place the wheat within borders without the need to do a temple.

Worker plan is fine with me PP!

I think the hills or a spot nearby are an option too, but I'd rather settle our early cities close to our capital because those cities will have the lowest corruption. Both because they;re close to the capital and because they are founded early and so get lower rank.

A city near the hill however is desirable to block of the vikings. Dont have time to do some math and see what's quicker. building a settler in Shanghai or building/whipping a temple. So if one of you has the time.

The despicable Colonel Binastre Tarleton,MM,DFC and bar,VD and scar, checking in.
In my limited experience of conquests it has occured to me that Leonardos Workhop is a very handy wonder as with the extra cost of upgrades it is very cost effective.I know this is later on in the game but how do you chaps rate this wonder?

3050BC: Change research to Writing. 35 turns atm.

IT: Scandinavian warrior moves W.

3000BC: Warrior S and sees a wheat on a floodplain! Worker finishes road and moves W for road / mine to Shanghai.

IT: Japanese settle 2 tiles NE of the cow.

2950BC: Warrior SE to hill and another wheat on a floodplain! Worker starts road.

IT: Scan warrior moves in on the desert coastal square.

2900BC: Warrior moves S to another hill.

2850BC: Settler completed, worker completes road > mining, warrior SE to hill. Shanghai completes warrior. Lux 20% > 10%.

Good point for some discussion imo:
- Build another settler in Beijing? Technically it is very well possible and keeps expansion moving.
- Next build in Shanghai? Either a worker or a warrior imo. We need both so it is more about the queue than anything else.
- Where to settle? Do our plans change given the Japanese settlement and the new terraininfo?

Arrows indicate recently discovered wheats

EDIT: Some close examination reveals a resource on a desert tile, 99% sure it is incense . We definitely should settle there, I suggest to discuss settling SW of the incense as well. Advantage: one desert tile less and we can build curraghs. Disadvantage: no river.

That hill between the three wheated flood plains will be a food explosion. Might be worth settling as 4th city. 3 rd city must be near the supposed incense for sure. We need a lux but also the japs are too close. We can already see their border in the north [grrr]

I suggest to build that 4th city NW of the hill and mine the hill for shields.

Been thinking the same about the hill, although I'm preferring SW of hill as that will leave a bit more room for a city on the west coast where the river hits the sea.
